This online series will explore and support municipalities and regions in developing, implementing and financing Climate and Energy Plans.
The Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy – Europe, together with PentaHelix & C-Track 50 (both H2020 projects) are joining forces to organise a unique joint event series targeted at public authorities, local/regional policymakers, and their stakeholders.
The three EU Projects work to support cities and regions in developing and implementing sustainable energy and climate plans. GET READY FOR 2050 will deliver actionable insight into how to best achieve this shared goal.
Three interactive sessions are designed to support participants in developing, implementing, and financing energy and climate plans by focusing on three fundamental axes:
• 20 May: How to build effective collaboration processes
• 27 May: How to successfully plan for the future
• 1 June: How to finance climate and energy plans
The sessions will include inspiring presentations from various actors (high-level EU representatives, regional and municipal authorities, academia, NGOs, etc.). The events count with the contribution of various like-minded EU projects and initiatives (European Energy Award, IMLEMENT, CoME EASY, PROSPECT 2030, JOINT SECAP, STEPPING Plus, E-Fix).
Presentations will be followed by thematic and collaborative breakout sessions offering a unique opportunity for participants to connect, brainstorm, and directly ask questions to experts and speakers. It will also be the occasion to work on opportunities and challenges related to the three topics at hand.
