PentaHelix partners met in Belgium to attend EUSEW Policy Conference and PentaHelix partner meeting. PentaHelix was one of the associated organisers of the joint session entitled ‘Local authorities as drivers to address climate change’, together with projects CoME EASY, C-Track50, EMPOWERING, LIFE SEC ADAPT, IMPLEMENT and the Covenant of Mayors Office, while Association European Energy Award AISBL and Sviluppo Marche srl were the lead and co-organiser of the session.
Attendees of the session had the opportunity to benefit from projects’ results (results of implementations, materials, tools, e-platforms…) that are easily transferable to different local settings. Furthermore, they could get their hard copy of Climate communication guidelines which have been developed within PentaHelix project (available in the PentaHelix web-library). There was a great interest in the session, which surpassed the capacity of the room.
After the joint session, the PentaHelix partners met in Mechelen for a partner meeting. The meeting took place in the office building of IGEMO, which has recently been under energy efficiency refurbishment. Partners and pilot representatives got insight into the refurbishment process and current energy performances.
During the meeting, partners discussed ongoing tasks and future steps, with special attention paid to the replication of PentaHelix method as well as actions on national and European level. Members of the Pilot Advisory Board gave their feedback on the implementation of PentaHelix methodology in their municipalities and shared some of the most successful actions from their municipalities.
